Type of Traffic Signal

There are two types of traffic signals that can be operated:

  1. Signal by a fixed time (fixed-time signals). Although changing the traffic flow volume, each phase (stage) have a fixed time, in accordance with the plan previously set time.
  2. Signal based on the movement of vehicles (vehicle actuated signals). Signal by using the interval of time varies, according to traffic demand recorded properly on a detector mounted to the vehicle.
