Intergreen = all red period (the period between the green)
is the time between the death of a green light on a phase until the light is green light to the next phase. The goal is to provide an opportunity to be free from conflict intersection.
Intergreen period is the length of 4 seconds. If the vehicle is veering to right (slightly) stuck in the middle of the intersection at intergreen time period, then the time period may be extended intergreen. Intergreen extension period has also been conducted when the vehicle is pretty much past the stop line (stop line) at high speed at the beginning of red light.

Intergreen planned period as short as possible with respect to security, because in each period there is a loss intergreen running time for the second approach. If intergreen period 4 seconds, indicating there is 1 second instead of yellow for the second approach. Because a vehicle may cross the line stopping in certain circumstances at the time of the yellow (not being able to stop when the red light goes out), then a second question means no traffic on the approach. The period known as the time lost in intergreen period (time lost during intergreen period).
