General Provisions Signs and Road Marking Part 3

According to the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways) U.S. Depart-ment of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, the following provisions relating to Signs and Road Marking requirements:
a. Design: a combination of physical forms such as size, color, shape its message and order
b. Placement: the placement of equipment in accordance with the provisions of point of view and command, attention and time to respond.
c. Operation: application equipment in accordance with traffic requirements of the uniform and consistent manner, meet the requirements, orders must be obeyed, and give time to respond.
d. Maintenance: maintenance of equipment to keep easy to read and seen, if the transfer of equipment is needed to help meet the needs of road users.
e. Uniformity: a uniform application of the same equipment for the same situation, and thus met the needs of users of the command must be obeyed.
